India has once again proved its dominance in cricket by winning the Champions Trophy 2025 in Dubai. The team remained unbeaten throughout the tournament  making this victory even more special. The celebrations began as Rohit Sharma lifted the trophy with a big smile surrounded by his jubilant teammates. Fireworks shines up the Dubai and the whole team is dancing around the stadium. The stadium DJ played Chak De India and spectators also singing the song Chak De India Players like Shreyas Iyer and Harshit Rana showed their happiness through their dance moves.  

 

The Final Match Recap  

 

India’s chase started strong with Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill’s    105 run opening partnership. However, New Zealand fought back  taking three quick wickets with their spinners tightening the game. But Axar Patel and Shreyas Iyer stayed there preventing further damage. When New Zealand seemed to regain control KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya guided India towards victory  before Ravindra Jadeja hit the winning runs. This marked India’s third Champions Trophy title and their second consecutive ICC tournament win after the T20 World Cup in 2024.  

 

New Zealand, despite missing one of their key bowler Matt Henry put up a great fight. Their captain Mitchell Santner  said  that India was the better team on the day but also  praised his team’s efforts. He highlighted how his players stepped up throughout the tournament and believed that New Zealand had a bright future in international cricket. Rachin Ravindra named Player of the Tournament expressed mixed emotions proud of his performance but disappointed not to lift the trophy.  

 

Post-Match Reactions  

 

Rohit Sharma  awarded Player of the Match spoke about his aggressive approach  saying it was something he wanted to adapt over the years. He credited the depth of India’s batting lineup for allowing him to take risks and attack early. Virat Kohli  says how young players have taken the team forward, making India stronger. He praised New Zealand’s discipline and sportsmanship  giving a special mention to his good friend  Kane Williamson.

India remmains Consistent in ICC Tournaments  

 

This victory shows India’s incredible consistency in recent ICC tournaments. After coming close in 2022 and 2023 but falling short  they bounced back to win both the 2024 T20 World Cup and now the  2025 Champions Trophy . Under Rohit Sharma’s leadership, the team has improved with each tournament.  

 

The celebrations are set to continue for a long time as India claimed in another historic victory. Fans, players and support staff all played their part in making this a memorable campaign. India is once again on top of world cricket!
